The Curas' 2017 In Review
Happy New Year's Eve, all! Ever since the wedding I’ve been trying to figure out how to use this website and figured I should at least put important life updates up here. Our first year married we forgot our Christmas card in all the bustle. Last year we got the picture out to the family. And this year you get a letter of sorts, too! Maybe some year we’ll get it out before Christmas Eve (here’s hoping).
2017 started out with Noel’s 30th birthday where she thought it’d be a good idea to try to hold ten sparklers (five in each hand). This did not go as planned. But the picture is pretty great. Also, almost an entire year later we are still finding sequins from those pants throughout the house.

In February we celebrated our second anniversary. Appropriate cotton gifts were exchanged and we spent the day together at Universal.
In April we celebrated Daniel’s birthday. He’s our favourite Fool of them all.
The summer ushered in a new development: Daniel started a new job with Epic Bodywork & Massage as their Marketing Manager. Epic is a local business in Tampa with some really big goals. Check out www.epic.bodywork to see what he’s got going on. In addition to his work at Epic, Daniel is also building his freelance marketing company Tidal Marketing. He worked with three new clients in 2017 and it’s been quite a good experience with a lot of learning and growth.
This fall was packed with travel as we went to the Keys with Daniel’s mom, sisters, and grandmother. It was a special weekend and we’re grateful to have shared the time together.
In October, we went on a cruise with family for Ashley and Stephen Brannon’s wedding. It was a great week of sunshine and beautiful water, not to mention, a really great wedding. During the trip we climbed a Myan pyramid in Coba, Mexico (along with Noel’s sister Camille). Daniel was able to take some beautiful pictures during the trip at various locations.

We went to several concerts this year seeing many of our favourite bands (sometimes twice!). On this year’s list: Coheed and Cambria, Mumford and Sons, Thrice and Circa Survive (twice). Along with more I’m sure Daniel remembers better than I do. Here are some of the concert photos Daniel took this year.

Maximus turned 10 this year and decided that since he’s older than both of us combined he now runs the house. He’s taken over the guest bed and pretends he cannot hear is when he is outside. Gratefully, he did not get in any fights with cats this year and is generally a pretty healthy dude. We love him a lot.
In November, Noel started a new job with H.W. Lochner, Inc. as a Marketing Coordinator. At about two months in she’s really enjoying the new role and responsibilities. Especially since she gets to use her (partial) English degree fairly regularly.
And here we are at the ends of the year and our year in review is complete. It’s been a busy December with lots of time with family. We’re looking forward to much more of that in 2018. Also, we both liked the Star Wars movie. Happy New Year to you and yours! We hope you had a fantastic holiday season and can’t wait to see you again soon!
Lots of love from,
Daniel, Noel, and Max
